As our fearless leader Dalif mentioned, I have now completed U.S. Army Basic Training and am currently in the 3rd of 12 weeks of one of the most demanding job trainings in the Army. Mind you, I had no idea it was going to be this demanding. Rather, I thought I'd be drinking beer and watching my beloved Red Sox at this juncture, but here I sit nonethesame. On the bright side,I am arguably in the best shape of my life and I have visual confirmation of abdominal muscles on my body. On the not so bright side, I am slowly forgetting how to function as an individual and/or civilian. But, I suppose all things have some cost associated with them =P
Anywho, I must be going, as I am still not a free man and Uncle Sam demands my attention. I'll be back sooner than later, though. Until I catch you on the proverbial flip side....

Oh well... life's a bitch.. so what. We move on. Things are clearing up a little bit now, and I'm starting to get some of my lost vigor restored. I've just returned from a trip across the country to hang out with some good friends of mine. We met up, ate some grilled food on the porch, got shitfaced in liquor and beer, and smoked some weed. I may still be a newb, but I think I scored good grades for effort :) It was a cool weekend of just hanging out without having to worry about anything but when you wanted the next beer. If it wasn't for the distance, I'd prolly hang out and do that more. The trip home was fairly uneventful, apart from the usual odd guy sitting in front of me, mumbling to himself. I dunno why, but I always end up close to people like that. And I don't know why they bother me so much. I just don't want them talking to me I guess.. mostly because I've no clue what I should answer them, without being impolite.Â
On another happy note, I've just had word from Holden.. unfortunately, I wasn't around when he wrote me on aim, but it's very good to know he's alive and kicking... well alive yet. Haven't assessed his kicking abilities yet, so we might get bad news on that. But anyway, welcome back Holden, for however long you are staying with us, and I hope you did well with your basic training, and that you are ready to move on to greener pastures already.
I'm out for now. It's hot as hell here, but my fan is keeping me at an acceptable level of comfort. I'm content.
