As life goes

Busy day today. I called work today (called as in typed it on msn) and told them I wouldn't be coming in today. Took some time to model different 3D items at home, before sorting the day out. Had lots of stuff to do, and against odds and usual behavior, I managed to make them all. First of all, my watch had had a broken chain for some time, and while I love that wristwatch more than some of my family members, and I hadn't worn it for a month, I decided today was the day. Mostly because I want to have it with me when I go to Ireland on the 17th. They ended up fixing it on the spot, and I was well happy I didn't have to come back. I always take the watch to the same place, where I bought it. I dunno, that just feels right. Like they know the watch a little better than the rest. And the guy remembers it too. Anyway, it's on my wrist again, and I am happy.
Secondly, I needed a haircut. I always go to the same place. It's cheap, it's efficient and fast. Today, however, a new guy was doing the cutting, and he kept wanting me to judge how it looked.. like in progress.. I hate that. I was like.. Yeah sure that's probably fine. I don't want to make decisions about that. I give an order, he cuts it, and we'll deal with problems later. But I managed to secure the encutment, so I left with another goal accomplished.
Other small things were dealt with, and I took a stroll through the local cemetary. Huge place. It's where Soeren Kierkegaard is buried among others. Anyway... loads of nice girls were in there, on blankets, reading or whatever, in the sun. I had no idea that place was an untapped resource. I guess I'll go again soon. Later on, I went into town, to meet an old girlfriend. Was well nice to see her again. She's a really good person, and I love her a lot for just being who she is and who she used to be. We had a few beers, and talked about the old days. Catching up on people you once considered family is always nice. She went off to meet some of the other people from school, and I went on my way home. She's due to leave for Detroit, Michigan on July 17th, and live with her husband... perhaps for good. I wish her all the luck in the world, even tho I'd prefer her here at home :p
When I left the park I felt very on top of the world. It was good to feel the presence of old friends, and I hope I'll manage to talk to more of my old friends soon. Recent events sure have rustled up a few things in life. For the better I hope, tho I still miss the way it were like 5 months ago. Oh well. Can't have it all, eh :)
