That's right, troops.... yours truly is the proud owner of a spanking new pair of black pants. My very special friend, Grue, informed me of this shop's existence some weeks back, and I finally got a chance to nip down there for a looksee... and boy do I regret not knowing about this shop years ago... as the nice girl behind the counter so eloquently put it; "We've only been here for 20 years".
I'll snap a pic at first given opportunity, and update this post with it. They are niiifty. I've been on the lookout for baggy black pants for a while, and just never found any that were 1) nice and 2) fit me. Two very difficult criteria to combine apparently. McKorman, as the shop is named, consists mostly of street wear, and when I visited Grue this weekend (will post about that in a moment), I saw his pants, and thought they were pretty damn cool. Since he's almost the same size as me, I figured they'd have my size there... and did they ever. They had all the way up to 49 inches waist.. which is pretty damn huge. Anyway, I yanked a pair, tried them on, and immediately bought them (did put on my regular shorts first tho). The nice girl and I had a little chat, which again is uncommon for me. But I was just over the top thrilled at finally finding a cool shop that had pants I could use. And they had a lot of other cool clothing in there. I need a hoodie as well, and a few more pairs of pants. Eventually. Even the shopping bag was nice. Will up a pic of that as well. It's made of some fabric, and has a cool logo on it. Really nice. I went out of there with a big smile on my face. I even felt like giving the girl there a hug, but figured that'd be a bit too much. Oh well.. another time perhaps :) Updated with images, click below to view

Vis-a-vis the prior post, I managed to meet up with Louiszche, as I shall tentatively name her, yesterday. Was going out with Ranc and another buddy of ours, Ben. The usual place, the usual drill.. beers, laughter and looking at other people while quietly make fun of them. Had arranged to meet Louiszche earlier, but she had to bail out, due to her mother returning from Paris, sick. That later turned out to be less serious than first expected, so when she called me, under cover of some lame latex slash escort bureau prank, I was naturally befuddled. But she offered to swing by and have a few beers with us, so I thought wtf.Â
Ranc bailed from the arrangement tho, with the usual "we'll see", effectively meaning "I'll probably not show, but I don't want to say no, because I don't like definitives", which is basicall a classic around these parts. We all use it. So he was out of the count. I rush to the bar, and meet, to my surprise, an old school mate. He was my tutor at the business school, actually. Pretty fucking cool guy, with whom I used to drink many many MANY beers. So Ben shows up almost at the same time as Louiszche. So Ben, who can be a little awkward around new people, and me, who can be the same, and a totally new person together. After a slow start it just turned out to be a pretty funny evening. Ben was, as most always, fun to hang out with.. and Louiszche turned out to be as fun, cool and interesting as I had predicted/she had promised.
I returned home at 5am or so, don't remember precisely... all I remember was, I don't remember feeling as tired as I was then. Crashed in me bed, woke up at 10, and now I'm preparing myself mentally to travel to Ã…rhus to meet up with my good lad Grue, who's had another shot at life, and seems to be enjoying it pretty thoroughly. We'll be going to a beach party of sorts, and I daresay that'll be amusing. Toodles, folks.

You know... on my travels around teh intraweb, I run into a lot of really fucked up people. People almost as weird as myself. And the funniest thing is, these are the people I like the most. People with whom nothing is taboo. It's easier talking to these people because you don't have to think much about what you say.. you just let it flow.. and we all know how much I love not having to think about stuff.
As the diligent reader (yes I know you guys are few, but damn I love you for staying with me), will undoubtedly know, I value these people, who understand my way of living, a lot. That's why I'm quick to dismiss, or at least keep a relationship platonic with, people I feel I cannot speak freely around. So when I encountered this one special girl recently... I was pleasantly surprised to find my usually rather inventive cursing skills put to the test. She's almost my match in coming up with weird crazy fucked up random shit, and I respect stuff like that a lot. I'm weird when it comes to picking out people I care to associate myself with. Not that it's a great honor to be talked to by the great Dalif (ok.. perhaps a little), but this is just how I run my life.
So, here's to hoping I'll meet her someday in the actual physical world. I think she has potential for some crazy drunken nights of laughter, randomness and debauched annoyance of poor people who just happen to cross our paths. Oh also, she's definitely one of the people I will be haunting when I come back as a ghost some day... just to piss her off.

Had another customer at the office today. A guy for whom I made 2 exterior shots. It was some buildings they want to build and sell up north somewhere. Butt ugly if you ask me, but then.. nobody did. So I just modelled them. As usual, Jakob had nothing but badmouthing left for the project. And while it was kind of ugly, and I know he's only joking, it was still nice to hear the client be very happy about it today. Had a few points he wanted to do, and then we talked about adding some more stuff... but overall, he was pretty happy. That's two strikes for Dalif.. let's hope he can go for the shutout.
On a completely seperate and unrelated note, I wanted to show off my recent tweaking of foobar2k, a music program a la winamp I recently installed. It's open source and has a lot of cool features. Special thanks goes out to Grue for giving me a hand in configuring it. It's not completely done yet, but I think it's pretty damn nice as is. Anyway, that's all for now. Enjoy!
