During the course of hotel work, one does experience quite a variety of people. I've talked in lengths about it already, and a few days ago, yet another case was added to the thick books chronicling my life in this business. Most places I've worked, I've never felt that the hotel I worked at, had my back, or trusted me. I mentioned this fact in a recent post. But the other day, I was positively surprised. Once again.

Kinda lame title aside, this little entry is about my first successful go with Wine. No, not the alcoholic beverage destilled from grapes, commonly referred to as wine. I'll not keep it a secret, that I've had many successful goes with that in my life already. And probably more unsuccessful. No, this is about Wine. The Windows Simulator for Unix.

Simming it up!

Sims 3 is out. Yeah... not out out, but... for a select few, it was.. out.. uhm.. was available for purchase. That's it. Installed it on my main box, and messed around with it for a bit. Pretty fun stuff. Then I invited Marie over, installed it on my laptop, so we could play simultaneously... and didn't look back. Damn, it gets addictive.

Boating and Canoeing

As stated below, I was out in the wild dangerous scary and above all, green, nature, on Thursday. Spoke about going a few days before, and while I wanted to, I had the usual grudges about going on days between workshifts, because it usually means sacrificing precious hours of sleep, or at the very least, planning the sleeping pattern well ahead. And while my eyes are getting kinda droopy, it was fun and pleasant, and well worth the sleep deprivation. Here's how it went down.
