I've recently discovered a true gem in the urban warfare that is fast-food and off the street lunch houses out here on Northbronx, Copenhagen style. There is a LOT to chose from, and since I practically work on Shawarma Boulevard, going for something like that is the easy choice. I usually hit one of the supermarkets, and buy ingredients for a makeshift lunch of bread, cheese, meat and lettuce. It's good, but I hate having to mess around with all the ingredients, and leaving them in a bag in the fridge at work blah blah. It's annoying, and takes the fun out of lunch. Besides, I enjoy hitting the streets at lunchbreak, to take in some of the bustling life and daily comings and goings of the locals.
Anyway, to cut a long story extremely short, there is this one place.. The Little Delicatessen. Quite a small joint, with an extremely pink facade. They have the best damn pasta salads I've ever had. And I don't mind telling you, I've have my share of nice pasta salads. She does very nice sandwiches as well. And she's fast, efficient and clean. I dunno what she is, but I think she's ex-jugoslavian. Speaks danish just fine tho, no problems there. Had lunch from her shop 5 days in this week. Simply amazing. I urge everybody to go there at some point, and give her salads a go. The one with tuna or the one with chicken should be dragged to the front and put on display. Top notch stuff.
To find her little boutique, just walk down Nørrebrogade. She's situated not far from Nørrebro station. Right next to a hairdresser, and another good place, Divan. Don't miss out on her salads. I beg of you.
