I'm always unlucky. I don't know why, but tons upon tons of little, indepedantly insignificant, things happen to me all the time. Whereas they are insignificant when experienced by themselves, if you add them up, it starts to amount to quite a bit of weird crap. It's been like this for years - all my life basically, that I can remember. You know... things that will go missing, stuff that doesn't turn out in my favor, doing something and have it go sour for ya, really does get on your nerves.Â
We've all tried some of them. You lose that important piece of paper that will enable you to do or get something you'd really want. Or the item you bought turns out to be broke when you get home. Or you lose the warrenty for an item, the day before it breaks. All those things happen to me, and thousands of other like them. Happens all the time. It's the classic case of telling somebody to go long, and then misaiming the football, which will crash into a window instead. That action spawned the name for my alternate and unfortunate half, the Go-Long Guy. A friend and myself had a running joke about the go-long guy. Whenever crazy shit would happen to me, and it did a lot, we'd know he was around. And that was never a good sign.
My latest run in with GL-Guy is the day I lost my visa card. Sure, it ain't all bad. Get it blocked, and order a new. Fine. That in itself is annoying, but I can manage. It happens. Of course my usual bank adviser was on holiday when it happened, so I had to go through a lot of explaining on the phone, as the women on the other end had no clue who I was etc. etc. Then I finally got my new card, and a new pin. I activated it, and decided to test it the next day. Go to a shop, run it through... Rejected. I'm like, wtf.. I just got this bitch. Run it through a few times, trying variations of the pin number, which I was sure of. No dice. Fine. Cut to later, at the atm machine. Pop in the cart, punch the pin.. bam goes the card. "The card has been rejected blah blah" gaaah. It's brand fucking new. What's the deal.
I'm sick of these things happening all the time.

1) You are good at rememering the unlucky things. In stead of thinking "thats crap -that is a part of life and I have to mowe on" you keep the negative feeling inside you all day thinking and feeling annoyed about the problem or the accident. Negative thoughts doesn't help.
2) If you actually had a place for important papers, read your snaile maile once a while, got it all sortet, you probably wouldnt loose all yout important papers :o)
So, my advice... try to get the small things in your life sortet, and try to think off the good things you have done, instead of the bad luck you think you are "cursed" by.
Love ya, Tessa
