Real Life

Ok, might not be as grim an entry as the title promises. But still, being up while every normal person sleep, somestimes means you'll get to experience the not quite as normal people shine like glorious stars in the night.

Sometimes, understanding yourself and your limits isn't a very easy thing to do. You think you can manage something, and it turns out you had no business putting yourself in that situation at all. Those types of events always take my spirit away. Sure I bounce back. I always do. But it still gives me something to think about.

Don't they usually say that the smile is the gateway to the soul or smile at the world and the world smiles back? Or some sentimental bullshit like that? I've found that the world only pretends to smile, but what really happens is, it is going to kick you in the nuts, as soon as your attention is diverted. Tonight, however, I faced a smile I wasn't able to ignore.

When dad called the other night, and asked if he could swing by in ten minutes, alarm bells started ringing like hell. What was he up to. Turns out things weren't quite as I had imagined they would be.

A not so wise man from a pretty funny sitcom once said: “Eggs ARE
eggs, aren't they?” Well he was right. Also, the same applies for
work. Making ends meet in a job you slightly dislike can be a
challenge.
